Afternoon with Charlie | Charlie Colley Makeup

Hello everyone,
So this weekend I spent the afternoon with Charlie Colley helping take pictures of her and her client for a wedding. Both Charlie and her client allowed me to take photos and post them on my blog.

Charlie is a qualified Makeup Artist from Cheshire and she is finishing off her Beauty Courses at The International School Of Beauty. She used a variety of different makeup products and makeup appliances ranging from MUA, Mac, Rimmel, Sleek Makeup, Estee Lauder, Benefit, Max Factor and more.

Charlie's client was getting married in the afternoon and wanted her makeup natural but effective and with it being for a wedding she wanted it to last. Charlie used a primer under the makeup and she also used some of her clients preferred makeup, her client knew how she wanted her makeup from the makeup trail.

Charlie's client was extremely happy with the result and thanked her after the wedding as her makeup lasted all day! I had a lovely afternoon, the makeup looked lovely and here is a couple of pictures from the day. Thanks to Charlie and her client for letting me come along and take photos of the day.

My Eyebrow Routine, Step by Step & Maintenance

Hello everyone,
I decided to share with you my eyebrow routine as I have seen so many pictures and different eyebrows recently. I think everyone has their own style/ steps and I find it really interesting to look at other peoples. Also with working in the beauty industry I see and notice that many people have completely different shapes and different routines.

When I was younger and before I trained as a beauty therapist I didn't really know what to do with my eyebrows and I think your eyebrows are so important as they can completely change how you look and frame your face.

Seventeen - 'Brow's That' Eyebrow Kit
Rimmel - Gel Eyeliner
Rimmel - 'Brow This Way' Styling Gel
& Eyebrow brush

For a while I have had the same eyebrow routine. I have my eyebrows waxed and tinted at work every 3-4 weeks and I don't tweeze any hairs out in-between. When you leave your hairs to be waxed they start to get into a routine and they don't grow back as quick, making them last longer.

Firstly I always brush through my eyebrows.

Then with my Seventeen eyebrow pencil I follow the outline of my eyebrows with brush stokes.
With my Rimmel Eyebrow gel  I fill in my eyebrows and astly I brush through my eyebrows again with my Rimmel Styling Gel and outline them with eyeshadow.

If you normally do your eyebrows yourself here is my step by step eyebrow sizing but if you don't I advise you to get your eyebrows done professionally as your eyebrows completely frame your face and they are a very important feature….so be careful!

1.  Measure with a stick or a ruler - The start of your eyebrow to the outside of your nose.
2. Look forward and your arch should be centre with your eye.
3. The end of your eyebrow should aline with the outside of your nose.

Hope you enjoyed my post!

Top 10 Maldives Must Haves!

My Top 10 Maldives/ Holiday Must Haves..

So I am sure that a few of you are aware that I am going the Maldives very soon! It will be a week on Wednesday and I am super excited! Since I found out we were going on holiday my life has consisted of buying and collecting stuff ready. I wanted to share with you a few things, I feel that these 10 items are a must when traveling abroad!

(1&2)
Sunhat & Sunglasses

For a while I have been on the hunt for a large sunhat and the right sized glasses.
I was really happy when I came across both of these together in Newlook, the glasses cost £5.99 and my hat was only £12.99. I think it is important when your fair skinned to have a hat to hide under when it gets to hot and I wanted big glasses get with it.

(3&4)
Relief& Repellent

Whenever I go abroad I always seem to get attacked by nasty Mosquitos and bugs! Sometimes it can ruin your holiday so it is definitely a must have to take a relief and repellent spray or pen of some sort. Jungle Formula is meant to be good and I found this in Boots sale for £2.50! Both the Mosquito Repellent& Relief pens are from the One Pound shop, so I wanted to get them to try them out too! I was also told that you can get garlic capsules to take during the holiday as the Mosquitos won't like the taste of your blood….not sure if that works.

(5,6,7)
Sun Protection & After Sun

Plenty of Sun Protection and After Sun are a must.
I always find when being in the heat and sun all day, I have to cover myself in After Sun in the evenings. Hawaiian Tropic Uv Protection from Boots on offer for £6.50 and it smells so fresh, I had to get it! Garnier soothing Aftersun £.5.00 from Boots and Garnier After Sun Tan Maintainer £3.98

(8&9)
Snorkel and Mini Fan

I hate over heating so when I found this Mini Fan I had to get it and it was pink too! I got it from £1 shop and it doesn't need batteries either which is a bonus. My pink Snorkel is from Sports Direct and was £4.99. I was told I can hire a Snorkel at the resort but I decided to buy one before hand because people had recommend too and it will save money.

(10)
Neck Support and Comfort

When travelling for a long time I like to get comfy and cozy and this Neck Cushion is ANOTHER £1 shop bargain. I was recommended to get one as they are very light and easy to carry. I was told you do sometimes get given cushions or pillows for the flight but just incase it is worth a £1 and my its final must have!

I have got many more accessories and products for holiday but these are my must haves! Hope you enjoyed my post and I will definitely be annoyingly posting more about my holiday afterwards.

Are you going away soon?
Are any of my must haves yours too?

Ark Age Aware Skincare - Skin Essentials Review

I was unbelievably happy coming home to another amazing Ark Skincare package!
I am a big fan of there products and I did a reviewed on them back in November. I continued to use them regularly as I love the natural packaging and the fresh smell of all the products.
Ark Skin Care products are divided into 3 age-related categories and the products I am showing are from the 'Age Prepare - Teens to Early 20's' range.

Hydrating Toner 150ml - £24.00

It is important to cleanse and tone twice daily and this toner is ever so refreshing. Since receiving my products I have used my toner and moisturiser the most.
The toner comes in a very generous sized spray bottle. Containing Wild Water Mint and Aloe Vera it helps to clean, hydrated and tone your face, leaving it feeling fresh and ready for your Vitality Moisturiser! It helps to boost elasticity and because of the Aloe Vera it helps to reduce redness.

Age Prepare Skin Vitality Moisturiser 50ml - £25.00

With having a dry skin tone, I love my moisturisers and I am fussy with them too. I always have to moisturisers twice daily and I find some suit me more than others.  I have found all Ark moisturisers perfect for my skin. This one left my face feeling slightly sticky BUT it acted like a primer and my makeup seemed to last longer because of it. Its filled with vitamins and contains Avocado and Peach helping to hydrate the skin more. The price of the moisturiser is a bit pricey but I don't mind paying extra if it helps and suits my skin.

Lounging Shower Gel - Free Sample 30ml

I was lucky enough to receive a sample from the shower gel range. This little shower gel is great for a weekend away or a nice, relaxing, lounge in the bath! It is quite small but if you use a little amount the bottles last really well. It contains Bergamot , Orange, Mandarin and Lemon.. Madarin and Orange are my two favourites as they always smell so fruity and nice. After using the shower gel I smelt lovely for hours! You can buy the full size shower gel which is 200ml for £18.50

If you are unhappy or suffering with your skin its good to try out new products and I am really glad that I have found / tested theses products. Gradually as we get older as skin changes and I feel that Ark Age Aware Skincare do help through skins changes and constant struggles. Overall I really enjoyed testing the Ark Skin Aware products and I know I will carry on using them again.

Jo Malone - Lime, Basil & Mandarin Travel Candle Review

Is Jo Malone Overrated?

Jo Malone - Lime, Basil & Mandarin Scented Travel Candle

Jo Malone have a wide range of fabulously, refreshing candles and various beautiful gifts.
The candle itself looks lovely and the overall packaging is very modern and classy. The candle came gift boxed in a Jo Malone bag, which also smelt lovely. The scent of the candle is very fresh and you can definitely smell the peppery basil and the sweet lime. This Jo Malone Travel size candle is £22.00. The candle is only small and I personally do think that the prices are expensive but acceptable for a special gift or a pick me up treat. You are paying more for a stronger, richer scent.

I personally would not pay anymore for a candle unless it was a present. The candle scent is also available in a 100ml Cologne costing £82.00. I know Jo Malone have a lot of fans and I am one.. just not the prices! I would go into a Jo Malone store to check out all the smells and gifts but probably wouldn't come out with much, haha.. hope you enjoyed my mini review I would love know your opinions.

What do you think of Jo Malone?
Do you feel like it is overrated and over priced?

Primark Swimwear Haul

So today I went to Primark to get last minute buys for holiday and I went a little crazy in the swimwear section.. I do love Primark and I think you can always get a good buy there. I always end up with a full basket but I didn't need any more bikinis for holiday! As soon as I saw the swimwear section I was instantly drawn towards it and Primark had so many lovely bikinis and cover ups it was hard not to pick anymore up! The prices are really reasonable and I feel like the quality of the swimwear is good.

White hold up bikini set - £6.00
Light green floral bikini set - £6.00
Dark Floral boost bikini set - £12.00
Stripey Bikini set - £6.00

My favorite set is the top right, light green, floral bikini as it reminds me of a Topshop print. I think they will all looks lovely on holiday and I cant wait to wear them. I also picked up a couple of other things which I will post about later. I am off for my holiday jabs soon and shopping this morning has definitely kept my mind occupied. Hope you enjoyed this post,

Which one is your favorite?
What do you think of the quality of Primark swimwear?

My Everyday Makeup

I decided to do a little post about the products I use on a daily basis. I normally have a set routine but I sometimes get bored and test other products out. I tend to use high street products daily and I change my eye shadows, mascara's and lipsticks but always use the same foundations and concealers.
When they run low I try other products or test out samples to see what suits my skin better. I have a different routine and use other products when I am going out such as a heavier foundation, primer, darker eye shadows and generally use more makeup. These are the current products I am using-

Bourjouis Bronzing Powder & Highlighter
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation
Seventeen ' Brows That!' Brow Kit
Natural Collection Concealer
Natural Collection Lipgloss  'Caramel Shortcake'
Bourjouis Rouge Edition Lipstick 'Rouge Jetset'
Benefit High Beam
Seventeen High Drama Liquid Eyeliner
Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel
Lash Princess Volume Mascara
Mac Powder Blush ' Peaches'

I love reading about products other people uses and I think its interesting to see what people recommend!
Hope you enjoyed my little post and I want to keep blogging about cosmetics and beauty tips.

Do you use any of these products?

Ive got a GoPro Hero 4 Silver!

My GoPro Hero 4 - Silver

For a while I had been looking into buying a GoPro and with our holiday quickly approaching I felt it would be a great buy for the Maldives! I wanted one with a screen on the back so I can see what I film and with being interested in blogging and youtube I felt like it would help capture a few vlogs.
The GoPro is perfect for filming but it isn't that good for capturing pictures as the camera is only a 12mp as for capturing videos you can film up to 4k. However we will be using 1080p at 60fps to capture cool high def slow-mo shots. I do like using the GoPro as the size is great, its light and very sturdy.

GoPro Hero 4 - Amazon - £274.00
GoPro Accessories bundle - Amazon -  £29.90
The GoPro Accessories Bundle included - Head mount, chest mount, wrist mount, selfie pole and more.

What do you think of the Go Pro quality?

We have been doing so much with the wedding, moving houses, days/ nights out and loads more. I have loved been busy but I feel like every weekend has just been filled and I haven't had chance to blog or relax at all.

At the moment I am just preparing for my holiday, which is at the start of June and can't come quick enough..don't you worry As I will be sharing plenty of pictures and I am off shopping for more holiday clothes tomorrow which I will be blogging about for sure :)
